Dinner, reading and needles

Reading...

The Powell River public library had to make room for new books...lucky me...they had to get rid of old ones, lots and lots of old ones, and all they wanted was a donation. For my $10.00 dollar donation I got three bags of books. I'm looking forward to my bed tonight, where under my warm quilt, I will start one of my favorite authors, Janet Evanovich's Three to get Deadly.

Eating...

I'm so tired of soup, tomato ends (the first and last slice of the tomato) and bread butts ( the first and last bread crust) from the diner....sigh...oh for some real food.

So for dinner...salmon, and I'll bake it in a maple glaze, with some rice and steamed veggies...sounds good.

Well it was awful, I hated the maple glaze, don't know why, just could not eat it. But there is always a good side, the chickens and cats loved the salmon.

On the needles....

A cardigan for Art, nice soft, warm wool. I'm thankful Christmas comes every year because I'm doubtful this cardigan will be ready for the upcoming one...

I'm not too good at knitting and am grilling burgers not salmon tonight. But, oh, the books - what a wonderful deal for you. Such a comfort to have all those books with winter on the way. Enjoy!!

Too bad about the salmon, it sounded good to me. We had glazed salmon at a salmon feast when we were in Dawson City. It was the best I've ever had. Not sure what they put in it, but it was a bit sweet but not too much. I love books. Too bad I missed the sale. Is that the one they had over at Dwight Hall? Or was there a different one? - Margy

Great deal on the books and sorry about the salmon. I sent you a Thanksgiving card, but are having some issues with the staff at our local post office. So, it is going to be late. I hope you have a wonderful holiday.

Maybe the salmon would have been better if someone else had cooked it?I too am sometimes overly critical of my cooking.
