Broc

I said I wouldn't grow them, really not worth it, they are a pain in the arse but those little seedlings just kept going, even with all my neglect.

So here they are in their new bed...but you can't just plant them and leave them...it seems that all sorts of little critters love broccoli, so I have to protect them...

With a row cover, and that's where the fussy part comes in. I have to pull this thing on and off every time I want to access the plants...what a bother. I sure hope I get some broccoli this time...I am unwilling to share it with any other little critters...

I would like to try broccoli in the garden this year. Not sure if I would have the time to take care of it.

I swore I was not going to feed the ground hog this year. While at the market I spied gorgeous broccoli seedlings and thought "Oh I plant any this year" and bought 6 Not till I got in my car did I get over my senior moment and wonder what was I thinking of...Hope we both have success.

I sent Wayne to the cabin today (such a sacrifice) to check on my garden. The asparagus needs to be cut I'm sure and I'm hoping my potatoes in the barrels need covering again with more soil. The rest will probably just be coming up after my two week absence. - Margy
