Decluttering

Not me...my mom. Now, my mom, has the neatest, tidiest, minimalistic, uncluttered house I know of, but she still declutters, all the time. I guess that's the reason her house is always so neat and tidy. The last time she decluttered she gave me some momentos of when I was just a little girl. These momentos are of my First Communion, the announcement, gloves and veil, from May 25, 1969 and my mom's Holy Gospel which I scribbled on and tore pages from when I was maybe three.

I'm not nearly as tidy as my mom but I wish I had kept more of my own children's momentos but sadly I took decluttering too far and rid myself of some items that I dearly wish I kept.

How about you? Do you keep your little treasures?

Those are wonderful mementos I am sure you are glad your mom kept them for you.I wis I could make myself declotter aloy, but it seems that every time I get in the mood and get rid of a lot of things the ones that are left have babies(LOL)

What wonderful mementos. I declutter all the time too. I kept a few of the kid's items and when they left home I gave them to them. I'm not one for hanging on to things though.

btw - we hope to have moved by Sept. and we are heading towards your province. I'll let you know what we decide. Hugs
