The girls were picked up this morning and I'm sure I'll be talking about them for some time to come.
They will be in their enclosure for the next week so they can familiarize themselves with their new home and then let out to roam the backyard.
And look they already laid two eggs.
Now..should I name them? Bettina, Giuliana, Alessia, Iolanda, Colleen and Lili...

I love your chickens. The two eggs are lovely. The names you have picked out are nice too,but aren't they your sisters names?(LOL).
Yup, sisters and two daughters in law and that's why I don't know if I'll name them yet..
That is so cool. Don't you become overly attached to animals when you name them... I mean, you don't plan on eating them do you?!?!

No they won't be eaten..by me..but if I loose any of them to eagles, raccoons, bears or cougars I'll be crushed so I'm not sure if they will have names..
Ahh who am I kidding, I'm already attached, they are eating from my hand...so they are as good as named, sheesh!!!

I'm not really sure how many we can have. Most people around here have as many as 50, layers and meat. But that's way too much work, I can hardly keep up with the current situation...LOL
